Born in Milan in 1959, Fredi Marcarini has been a professional photographer for more than thirty years and is particularly known for his portrait work.
Marcarini first met Jack Vettriano in 2008 when he was commissioned by Monsieur Magazine to take a series of portraits of the artist at his studio in London.
Discussions about the photo shoot evovled into a collaboration between the two artists, with Vettriano art directing and choosing poses and props for each of the seven narrative portraits that were created.

Heartbreak Publishing has published three of the portraits as very special limited edition prints, which are signed by both Vettriano and Marcarini. Limited to just ten prints, these unique editions mark Vettriano's first collaboration with another artist.
