On Parade is one of a series of paintings by Jack Vettriano, made particularly distinctive for the use of a vintage military uniform, here worn to erotic effect with suspenders and stockings.   

The painting was inspired by a series of photographs taken by Vettriano in his London studio, using a Nokia phone. Two are shown here.  The series of photographs were  exhibited and sold at a charity fund-raising auction, organised by Nokia in aid of MENCAP and held at the Photographer's Gallery in London.

This iconic image was published in a large format, limited edition in 2008 and sold out very quickly.
