The model in this image is Cherry Gillespie, who was a member of the dance troupe, Pan's People from 1972 -1976.  She was introduced to Jack in 2000 and featured in a series of paintings created that year, the most iconic being An Imperfect Past.  The original painting was featured in the Vettriano Retrospective held at Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow in 2013, on loan from a private collection.

We have just eight of the large format, limited edition posters featuring this image available.  All are signed by Jack Vettriano and inscribed to commemorate a touring series of Heartbreak Publishing events and personal appeareances held in collaboration with the Malmaison & Hotel de Vin group, between July and August 2009.
